I've been working on illustrations for a children's book for the past... I don't know how long. A few months, anyway. It's been a real challenge just finding time to work on it between work, school and family, but it's done. Finished. It ceases to weigh upon my mighty shoulders.

Boy, oh boy, did I ever learn alot during this process. Did you know that disorganization can really slow you down? I did too, but now I KNOW it. My approach to the next one will be completely different. Mark my words. (That way you can throw it in my face when I end up making the same exact mistakes.) I don't know if my publisher has another book lined up for me or if I'm on my own for a while. Hopefully I'll be working on another one soon. Hopefully I'll be working on my own creation soon.

I can't show it off right this second, as my contract won't allow it, but I'll post it as soon as the publisher gives me the thumbs-up.

I've had a song stuck in my head for a few days. Maybe if I can get it stuck in your head, it'll leave me alone for a little while. Here goes:

Conjunction junction, what's your function?
Hookin' up words and phrases and clauses and makin'em run right.

I got AND, BUT and OR. They'll get you pretty far.

AND. That's an additive; like "this AND that".
BUT. That's sort of the opposite; "not this BUT that".
And then there's OR. Oh Are.
For when you have a choice; like "this OR that".
AND, BUT and OR... they'll get you pretty far!

See if that clangs around in your head for a few days. It's cool at first, until you start waking up singing it. Enjoy!
